The effectiveness of a magnesium source depends on how readily it dissolves in the rumen. pHix-up® is formulated with highly soluble magnesium sources that improve magnesium availability and absorption compared with conventional single-source magnesium oxide products. Better magnesium availability supports essential metabolic and enzymatic functions while complementing pHix-up®'s rumen pH-neutralising effect. pHix-up® combines fast-acting and longer-lasting highly soluble magnesium sources to provide both immediate and sustained rumen pH support. This complementary mode of action helps neutralise excess acidity after feeding while continuing to stabilise rumen pH between meals. With an acid-neutralising capacity of approximately 39 mEq/g - more than three times that of sodium bicarbonate and twice that of marine calcium - pHix-up® maintain conditions that favour fibrolytic bacteria, improving fibre digestibility, rumen efficiency and feed utilisation.
