Yes. THRIVE™ is formulated to support calves in reaching their genetic growth potential. No. THRIVE™ should not be fed to newborn calves during the first 24 hours of life because it contains Bovatec® (lasalocid), which should not be fed during this period. Calves should first receive an adequate intake of high-quality colostrum before THRIVE™ is introduced from Day 2 onwards. This ensures calves receive the essential passive immunity and nutrition they need immediately after birth before transitioning onto their milk supplementation program.

Once calves have received adequate high-quality colostrum during their first 24 hours of life, THRIVE™ can be introduced from Day 2 onwards. Feed 10 g per calf per day until weaning. The ideal feeding duration will vary depending on your calf-rearing system, disease pressure and production goals, but feeding throughout the milk-fed period provides the best opportunity to support gut health and resilience, healthy growth and overall calf performance.
