XLR8® CA

XLR8® Ca is a calcium mobiliser designed to stimulate the natural biological reactions in soil responsible for calcium uptake in grain, fruit and vegetable crops. It provides a targeted way to support calcium uptake as part of a crop nutrition program.

XLR8® Ca has application directions for broadacre grains, field crops such as corn, sugar cane and cassava, horticultural and vegetable crops, fruit trees, oil palm and rice. Directions are also provided for ratoon crops and fallow ground, giving growers flexibility to incorporate XLR8® Ca across a range of cropping systems.

Yes. For soil application, dilute XLR8® Ca 1:10 in water and apply as a fine mist 7 to 10 days before planting. This allows calcium mobilisation to be incorporated into the pre-plant crop nutrition program.

Yes. XLR8® Ca may be sprayed with fertiliser, making it easier to integrate into existing crop nutrition programs. Specific directions also include application with fertiliser prior to crop emergence for ratoon crops and after ground preparation for broadacre grains.

XLR8® Ca can be applied as a foliar spray to field crops, horticulture and vegetables, fruit trees and oil palm, with specific application directions also provided for rice. For foliar application, dilute XLR8® Ca 1:40 with water and apply as a fine mist.

Yes. XLR8® Ca can be applied to horticultural and vegetable crops through centre pivot or microdripper systems, providing another way to integrate calcium mobilisation into suitable irrigated crop programs. For fertigation, dilute XLR8® Ca 1:1 with water.

XLR8® Ca application rates vary according to the crop and application method. Soil application rates range from 10–20 L/ha for the first application, while foliar rates range from 3–10 L/ha depending on the crop. Fertigation directions for horticulture and vegetables specify 20 L/ha. Always use the rate specified for the relevant crop and application method.

For soil application, XLR8® Ca is applied once per growing cycle unless otherwise stated. Where fungicides, herbicides or sterilising agents have been applied, reapply XLR8® Ca 14 days afterwards.

Store XLR8® Ca in a shaded location until ready for use and do not freeze. Keep the container closed and free from debris when not in use, and do not shake the product.
